Posting Summary
Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director of administration, UVM Cancer Center (UVMCC) leadership, and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, data collection, operationalizing processes related to the diverse needs of the UVMCC, external organizations, boards, funders, or leadership. Serve as primary point of contact for web updates for work related to the Community Outreach and Engagement, Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination, and the Plan to Enhance Diversity components, employing creativity and technical expertise. Plans and provides administrative and technical support for multiple meetings and activities. Serves as a backup point of contact for communications and events staff in other areas of event planning and execution for conferences and seminars. Assists leadership with annual reporting for complex, multi-author projects and reports. Provides expertise and technical assistance with communications and databases associated with Training, Education and Demographics. Provides additional administrative support in areas of business administration and performs other general administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associates degree and one to three years of related experience required. Proficiency with software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with internet resources required.
Desirable Qualifications
Prior experience in an academic/research environment preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills, proficiency working with software applications used to support area operations including but not limited to PeopleSoft, Database management (Slate experience preferred), website editing, and Microsoft applications is desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range
Other Information
Anticipated Pay Range: $23.07-$25.65/hour (approx. $45,000-$50,000 year). Actual hiring pay dependent on current competitor market conditions, comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.
Special Conditions
Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
